Creative Writing Workshop with Rosetta Peters

Rosetta “Rosie” Peters is a Minnesota-based poet, author, public speaker, storyteller, and activist. She is excited to be a part of the revitalization of her ancestral language, Dakota, which is currently being taught at the University of Minnesota. She is of Yankton, Crow Creek, and Oglala descent. Rosetta hopes to learn the language and pass it on to future generations.

Creative Writing Workshop

This workshop will take place at MacRostie Art Center in the Giinawind Creative Space!

Join us for a free creative writing and zine workshop in collaboration with MacRostie Art Center.

Visiting poet Rosetta ‘Rosie’ Peters will share poetry and prompts that focus on the heart and what it needs to heal. Writers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.

Participants from this workshop have an opportunity to share their writing on February 25th and open a livingroom concert for Rosetta ‘Rosie’ Peters and JG Everest in Room 203 at the Old Central School.
