Indigenous Every Day!

Story Circle with Local Anishinaabewag

Wednesday, October 28, 2026 | 6-8PM

MacRostie Art Center

405 NW 1st Ave, Grand Rapids, MN 55744

Every day is a good day to be Indigenous! You’re invited to listen and learn from local Anishinaabe artists and culture bearers, and others leading creative community efforts in our region. Facilitated by Fire in the Village artist and Director Annie Humphrey. There will be frybread! Frybread is the answer.

RSVP to contact@fireinthevillage.org to let us know you’ll be joining!

“Come join this circle, but before you take a seat, grab a piece of hot frybread and niibiish or makade mashkiiki waaboo and let’s have a real discussion. Let’s talk about why people fear diversity? Ask questions. If you are the type of person who appreciates the truth and aren’t afraid to hear others’ truth, then please take this opportunity and join the circle."

 - Annie Humphrey

This work is funded in part by MHC with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
